(She/her) Emily (Em) Slavick, L.M.S.W is a licensed master social worker in Connecticut, specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents and young adults. Em holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Western Connecticut State Universityand a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University. Em believes in the beauty of human connection and the importance of empathy and support in individuals’ lives. Every human being should be seen, valued, and heard. Her therapeutic style emphasizes active listening, compassion, and collaboration. By fostering a trusting relationship, she aims to empower clients to make positive changes in their lives and achieve their personal goals. Her commitment to advocacy and social justice drives her to advocate for the well-being and rights of all people, promoting resilience, and growth. Em brings a fresh perspective and relatable approach to her work with the younger population. Recognizing the unique challenges and pressures facing today’s youth, she is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where adolescents and young adults feel understood and empowered.

In her free time, Em loves spending time with her family and friends and is an adamant exerciser who believes in the profound positive impact regular exercise can have on your mental health and emotional wellbeing.
