Our Home

Our state-of-the-art facility is designed with the patient in mind. We believe that a soothing environment is essential to promote healing and recovery, so we have created a comfortable, welcoming home conducive to mental wellness.

Research Initiatives & Research-based care

Ongoing research is essential to advancing the field of neuropsychiatry and behavioral medicine. those treatment methods that have achieved the status of “evidence-based best practices” have proven their value over many years and are part of the current “textbook.” But how do you help those for whom the textbook methods fail? (So-called TRD -- “treatment-resistant depression is an all too common example.) Members of Sterling Institute include highly qualified and published scientists who remain current on emerging discoveries that may not yet be in the textbook but likely will be.

We are also constantly on the lookout for repurposed medications with established safety records (often decades-long) that show promise in treating emotional conditions. (The first antidepressant discovered accidentally in the 1930s was a tuberculosis medication.) Because such medications are long “out of patent,” they will never be put through the costly process of obtaining an FDA indication. Their safe and successful use, therefore, depends upon the expert scientific knowledge of the clinician. For the savvy investigator, there is a treasure trove of such medications.

We are also conducting an in-house research project to develop a more sophisticated and accurate diagnostic and treatment-matching process than the current one in general use. This project uses the methods of big data combined with analytical methods from the physics of complex systems.

We are dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field to ensure we provide the highest level of care possible.

Patient Care Approach

We understand that mental health is a deeply personal journey, and we believe that our patients deserve the utmost respect, empathy, and understanding throughout their treatment journey.

Our approach to care is research-based but patient-centered. We provide individualized treatments that address the unique needs of each patient.

Why Sterling Institute?

We are dedicated to providing our patients with the highest level of care possible. Our commitment to evidence-based treatments, cutting-edge research, and compassionate care sets us apart from other mental health facilities.
