A Clinician-First Culture

From the beginning, Sterling Institute was founded with clinicians in mind. We understand the challenges faced by clinicians in today’s healthcare landscape: overwhelming caseloads, administrative burdens, rigid schedules, and a lack of autonomy. At Sterling, we’ve built a practice that removes those barriers and creates space for clinicians to do what they do best—provide high-quality, compassionate care.

Whether you’re a psychiatrist, LCSW, APRN or LPC, joining Sterling means joining a team that supports your clinical judgment, respects your professional independence, and fosters a collegial, supportive atmosphere.

Why Clinicians Thrive at Sterling Institute

1. True Flexibility, Real Balance

Sterling Institute offers unmatched flexibility to help you create the career that aligns with your personal and professional goals. Our team members enjoy:

• The ability to set their own schedules

• Remote telehealth options and hybrid roles

• Autonomy to choose caseload preferences

• No on-call requirements or mandatory overtime for LCSWs and LPCs. Weekend on-call duties are rotated among our MDs and APRNs.

We believe that flexible, clinician-driven scheduling is key to preventing burnout and promoting longevity in your career.

2. Minimal Administrative Burden

As a clinician at Sterling Institute, you can focus on patient care—not paperwork. Our dedicated administrative team handles:

• Billing and insurance claims

• Scheduling and appointment management

• Patient onboarding and documentation support

• Insurance and empanelment

By reducing administrative headaches, we allow you to spend more time on meaningful clinical work and less time navigating bureaucratic obstacles.

3. Collaborative Team Environment

At Sterling Institute, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team that values collaboration and mutual support. We strive to create an environment where you can continue growing as a clinician while also feeling connected to your colleagues.

Our leadership team remains accessible, ensuring you always have the backing of experienced professionals when you need guidance or support.

Psychiatrists also have the opportunity to provide cutting-edge treatments such as NeuroStar® TMS therapy for depression.

5. Seamless Telehealth Services

Sterling Institute has invested in building a secure, user-friendly telehealth platform, making it easier than ever for clinicians to work from home while delivering high-quality care. Our telepsychiatry and teletherapy services are currently available in Connecticut, New York, and Florida, with plans for expansion into additional states.

For clinicians, telehealth provides:

• A comfortable, convenient work environment
